Ulan Ude school assailant warned about his plans - media
KEMEROVO. Jan 19 (Interfax) - A student of School No. 5 in the Sosnovy Bor neighborhood of Ulan Ude who attacked a class and their teacher warned a classmate about his plans on a social network a day before the attack, a local resident told the city TV channel in Buryatia.
"The boy [the assailant] gave a warning: he sent a Viber message to a girl and said she should not go to school because 'things would get messy'. Today the boy broke into classroom No. 23 and hit three children and a teacher with an axe," the resident said.
The woman said the assailant put the axe in a child's back, he hit the teacher and a boy on the head, and chopped off a girl's finger. The assailant is a 9th-grade student, and his victims are 7th-grade students, she said.
The teenager who attacked a class in Buryatia was detained and taken to a hospital after he tried to commit suicide, Russian Investigative Committee spokesperson Svetlana Petrenko told Interfax.
