Moscow. Jan 19 (Interfax) - Russian Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov said the share of life-saving medicines produced domestically will grow to 90% of the total in 2018.
"We have achieved an 84.6% share of Russian production with regard to the list of life-saving drugs. Consistent with your 2012 decree, in 2018 we must achieve a 90% share for Russian production. I have 100% confidence that we will post these results," Manturov said in a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
In recent years, the pharmaceutical industry has been showing consistent growth of more than 10%, the minister said. "Last year, pharmaceutical production grew 12%," Manturov said at the meeting, the transcript of which was posted on the Kremlin's website on Friday.
