Tiffany, Signet, Chow Tai Fook affirm status as long-term Alrosa clients in 2018-2020

MOSCOW. Jan 23 (Interfax) - World jewelry brands Tiffany, Signet and Chow Tai Fook and polished diamond producers Rosy Blue and KGK Group have affirmed their status as clients of Alrosa (MOEX: Alrosa for the new contract period in 2018-2020, the Russian mining company said in a press release.

Clients also include Russia's Kristall (Smolensk) and EPL Diamond.

India's KGK, the first foreign company to start polishing and cutting diamonds at the free port in Vladivostok, is an Alrosa client not only in its own right but also via two subsidiaries registered in Yakutia, DDK LLC and S.D. Diamonds LLC.

Major jewelry retailers Luk Fook and Chow Sang Sang (Hong Kong) affirmed their status as Alrosa alliance members who are not long-term clients.

Alrosa has 67 long-term contracts in total with 65 companies to sell gem and industrial diamonds.

Alrosa is also considering another 11 companies as potential candidates for signing long-term agreements within this period. Among them, nine are potential long-term buyers of gem quality rough diamonds and two - buyers of industrial rough diamonds. These companies can be added to the list of long-term clients should they accumulate sufficient positive history of trade cooperation. They have already been added to Alrosa Alliance and acquired the right to use the relevant logo that confirms not only regular rough diamond supplies from Alrosa, but also the reputation of a client as a reliable and trusted participant of the world diamond complex.
