Culture Ministry's position on 'Death of Stalin' based on expert conclusions - Peskov
MOSCOW. Jan 24 (Interfax) - The Russian Culture Ministry used the conclusions drawn by an expert council, which the ministry is obliged to heed, with regard to its decision not to allow screenings of "The Death of Stalin," Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
"It's the prerogative of the Culture Ministry. There is an expert council there and, if I'm not mistaken, many experts have seen this film and came to specific conclusions. The Culture Ministry cannot help but take into account the point of view of its experts, public activists, who meet for that purpose," Peskov told reporters, commenting on the revocation of the screening certificate of the film "The Death of Stalin."
Peskov said that further questions should be directed to the ministry.
