Administrative offence protocol to be filed against Navalny - police
MOSCOW. Jan 28 (Interfax) - The Moscow police will draw up an administrative protocol against detained opposition activist Alexei Navalny, the press service for the Russian Interior Ministry's main department for Moscow told Interfax on Sunday.
"The Moscow police have detained Navalny, one of the organizers of an unauthorized public event, on Tverskaya Street. At present, he has been brought to the district police department in order to conduct an inquiry and draw up a protocol on an administrative offence, a violation of the established procedure of organizing or holding an assembly, rally, demonstration, procession or picket," the press service said.
Navalny's headquarters said earlier that the police have detained the opposition activist, who came to participate in the unauthorized rally in downtown Moscow.
