IPC to admit 30-35 eligible Russian Paralympians to 2018 Paralympic Winter Games as neutrals - president

MOSCOW. Jan 29 (Interfax) - Between 30 and 35 Russian Paralympic athletes may compete in the 2018 Paralympic Winter Games in South Korea as neutral athletes, International Paralympic Committee (IPC) President Andrew Parsons said.

Speaking at a press conference in Moscow on Monday, Parsons said 30-35 neutral athletes from Russia with no history of doping are expected to take part in the games.

A list of athletes from Russia eligible to participate in the 2018 Paralympic Winter Games will be posted on the IPC website later, he said.

The work done by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has created confidence that the anti-doping system in Russia is no longer compromised or corrupted, he said.
