Three Ukrainian servicemen injured in Donbas on Fri - HQ

KYIV/DONETSK. Feb 2 (Interfax) - Three Ukrainian servicemen were injured as of 6 p.m. since midnight, the headquarters press center reported.

"Three servicemen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces [UAF] were injured in hostile shell attacks," the press center said in a report posted on its Facebook page.

Adversaries were firing mostly mortars and infantry weapons on Friday, it said.

"In the Donetsk sector the enemy has intensified their activity in an Avdiivka suburb. Adversaries have fired 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of different types and large-caliber machineguns on the approaches to this frontline populated locality," the headquarters said.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have shelled the Donetsk filtration station, a representative of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) operational command told reporters earlier on Friday.

"The Ukrainian side has shelled the Donetsk filtration station [DFS] at 3.15 p.m. today, firing 15 82mm mines, grenade launchers and small arms," he said.

The DFS personnel have been evacuated to a shelter.

"The UAF do not stop attacking vital infrastructure sites in the republic, despite the JCCC's request for a regime of silence," the command representative added.
