Ex-acting Dagestani PM's lawyer sees no point in appealing arrest

MOSCOW. Feb 6 (Interfax) - The defense team of former acting Dagestani Prime Minister Abdusamad Gamidov is not going to appeal his arrest, lawyer Ruslan Suleimanov said.

"I'm not going to appeal his arrest. Knowing the practice of courts and the case files, I see no point in that," Suleimanov told reporters at Moscow's Basmanny District Court on Tuesday.

"I doubt other lawyers will appeal the court's ruling, either," he said.

The Basmanny District Court has sanctioned Gamidov's arrest until April 5.
