Russian Foreign Ministry favors more constructive Russian-U.S. relations

MOSCOW. Feb 7 (Interfax) - Moscow believes that Russian-U.S. relations should become more constructive to resolve global problems.

"The global situation has been telling everyone for a long time that Russian-U.S. relations should become more constructive and the share of media frenzy and Russophobic polices that are pursued by a specific part of the U.S. establishment should decrease," Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said on the air of the Rossiya 1 (VGTRK) television on Tuesday.

"Russia has not left its position one step, at the apogee of the Obama administration's hatred of Moscow or at any other moment," she said.

"We, on one hand, responded appropriately to all accusations that were made against us. On the other hand, we said every time that we are for interaction and cooperation. We have the same position here," Zakharova said.
