Uzbek leader sends condolences to Putin on plane crash outside Moscow
TASHKENT. Feb 12 (Interfax) - Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has forwarded a message to the Russian leader to express condolences on the plane crash in the Moscow region that claimed the lives of 71 people.
"President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan has expressed his condolences to Russian President Vladimir Putin on the massive loss of life in the crash of an An-148 aircraft in the Moscow region," the presidential press service reported on Monday.
A Saratov Airlines passenger aircraft bound for Orsk, the Orenburg region, crashed in the Ramenskoye district of the Moscow region shortly after taking off from Domodedovo Airport on Sunday afternoon. All the 71 people onboard, most of them residents of the Orenburg region, were killed in the crash.
