IAC experts analyzing condition of An-148 flight recorders' data carriers
MOSCOW. Feb 12 (Interfax) - Experts of the International Aviation Committee (IAC) are preparing to decode information from the flight recorders of the Antonov An-148 aircraft that crashed in the Moscow region, the IAC said in a statement published on its website on Monday.
"The protected memory modules of the flight recorders, the voice and parametric ones, the so-called 'black boxes,' have been delivered to the IAC's laboratory. Experts have begun opening them and analyzing the condition of the information carriers," the statement said.
On February 11, a Saratov Airlines aircraft en route to Orsk crashed in the Ramenskoye district of the Moscow region shortly after taking off from Domodedovo Airport. All 71 people on board were killed in the crash.
