Militants fire 9 mines on Damascus residential areas in past 24 hours - Russian military
HMEIMIM. Feb 15 (Interfax) - Militants have launched four shelling attacks on residential areas of Damascus from the Eastern Ghouta area in Syria over the past 24 hours, Maj. Gen. Yury Yevtushenko, head of the Russian center for reconciliation of the opposing sides in Syria, said at a press briefing on Wednesday.
"Illegal armed formations are not ceasing their daily provocative shelling attacks on residential areas of Damascus from the Eastern Ghouta area. Four such attacks have been observed in the past 24 hours. Militants have fired nine mines. There have been injuries among civilians," Yevtushenko said.
The Russian-Iranian-Turkish joint coordination center has continued to record individual truce breaches in the governorates of Latakia, Aleppo, Idlib and Homs, and also Eastern Ghouta in the past 24 hours, he said.
