IAC deciphers cockpit recorder from doomed An-148 plane, confirms flight data recordings
MOSCOW. Feb 15 (Interfax) - Specialists at the Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) have managed to decipher the cockpit voice recorder from the Antonov An-148 aircraft which crashed in the Moscow region.
"After the data storage unit was placed in a technological ground device and information and power links were restored, the information on the cockpit voice recorder was copied, a recording of the doomed flight is now available," the IAC stated on its website.
"The deciphering and preliminary analysis of the recording have confirmed information registered by the flight data recorder," the IAC said.
The voice recordings have been passed to law enforcers.
"The information obtained by the air accident inquiry commission was sent to the Russian Investigative Committee," the statement said.
