Armenia set to meet Iranian business halfway in boosting trade with Iran - PM Karapetyan
YEREVAN. Feb 27 (Interfax) - Armenia is dissatisfied with trade volumes with Iran and stands ready to discuss the implementation of major projects, Armenian head of government Karen Karapetyan said at a meeting with Iranian Energy Minister Reza Ardakanian on Tuesday.
"Current trade volumes are unfair. We are interested in implementing major programs and are ready to take relevant steps, specifically we are ready to organize open days for Iranian business and answer all their questions," Karapetyan said.
It is necessary "to change the scale of relations," the Armenian government press service quoted the prime minister as saying.
"Our team is zealously working to bring the level of economic relations to the level of political relationships," Karapetyan said.
The Armenian-Iranian intergovernmental committee for economic cooperation held its latest meeting in Yerevan on Tuesday.
