Russian Air Defense Forces perform 5 flights to intercept foreign aircraft over past week - Defense Ministry
MOSCOW. March 2 (Interfax) - Twenty-two foreign aircraft carried out an aerial reconnaissance along the Russian borders last week, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
The alert air defense force has performed five flights to intercept and escort foreign spy planes over the past week, according to the infographics of the Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper, an official print mouthpiece of the Russian Defense Ministry.
"No violations of the Russian airspace were allowed," the publication said.
Meanwhile, Russian specialists have undertaken a military inspection in the Netherlands as part of the 2011 Vienna Document on Confidence- and Security-Building Measures in Europe over the past week, according to the publication's infographics.
