CIA director visits Donbas - Basurin
DONETSK. March 6 (Interfax) - U.S. intelligence officers including the director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) visited the Donbas conflict zone a few days ago, Eduard Basurin of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR)'s Defense Ministry said.
"A few days ago, the CIA director, accompanied by high-ranking officers from the related intelligence units of the U.S., visited the town of Avdiivka. The event was held under the legend that high-ranking U.S. military officials were to acquaint themselves with the operating environment in the DPR," Basurin told reporters in Donetsk on Tuesday.
