France's National Front congratulates Putin on election win
PARIS. March 19 (Interfax) - The French far-right political party National Front led by Marine Le Pen on Monday congratulated Vladimir Putin on wining the presidential election.
"The National Front is sending its congratulations to Vladimir Putin on his re-election as president of the Russian Federation," the party said in an official statement.
"This big success in the election attests to the Russian people's desire to continue moving down the path of reform proposed by President Putin who in the past few years has enabled the return by this key power to the world stage," the statement said.
"These elections must, in particular, lead to the European Union ending its absurd and counterproductive policy of blackmailing, threats and sanctions," the statement said.
