Eighty percent of Russians satisfied with Putin - poll

MOSCOW. March 21 (Interfax) - Eighty percent of Russians approve of Vladimir Putin's efforts as Russian president, which is 4% more than in February, Levada Center told Interfax.

Meanwhile, 19% disapprove of his work (22% in February).

At the same time, 39% are content with Dmitry Medvedev's work as prime minister and 59% are discontent; 45% are content and 54% discontent with the government.

Russians have become more convinced that the country is moving in the right direction: that feeling is shared by 58%, up from 54% in February 2018 and 52% in March 2017. Meanwhile, 27% of respondents think it is going in the wrong direction.

The poll was conducted between March 7 and 12 and involved 1,600 respondents in 136 cities and communities in 52 constituent territories. The margin of error is 3.4%.
