FAS sees no grounds not to grant Sberbank's request to create JV with Yandex - Artemyev
MOSCOW. March 22 (Interfax) - The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) sees no grounds not to grant Sberbank's request on creating a joint venture with Yandex using the Yandex.Market platform, FAS head Igor Artemyev told reporters.
"It will be agreed upon, I have no particular doubts. As far as I know, we are collecting documents, assembling all the materials on the matter of the merger and acquisition, so we have technical issues there. Substantively, we see great synergy and purpose in this, when the nation's leading bank together with a leading telecommunications company, which operates in the high-tech sphere, creates something like this. We have there blockchain, we have the creation of platforms in the whole country's interests, there are many interesting technologies there," Artemyev said.
