UK actions fully consistent with OPCW obligations - ambassador

MOSCOW. March 22 (Interfax) - The United Kingdom's actions in the wake of the poisoning of former Russian spy Sergei Skripal are fully consistent with its obligations within the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), UK Ambassador to Russia Laurie Bristow said.

"UK actions have been fully consistent with our OPCW obligations. There is no provision in the CWC that requires the UK to share samples with Russia in this scenario," Bristow said at a briefing for ambassadors of foreign countries accredited in Russia on Thursday.

"At the MFA briefing yesterday, Russia said it would not respect OPCW conclusions," Bristow said.
