EU should urge UK to hold consultations with Russia on Skripal case - Russian Foreign Ministry
MOSCOW. March 23 (Interfax) - The European Union should urge the United Kingdom to begin consultations with Russia on the Skripal case using OPCW procedures, the deputy head of the Russian Foreign Ministry's press service, Artyom Kozhin, said.
"We believe that the EU leaders, if they have a sincere wish to help the investigation, should urge our British partners to begin constructive consultations with the Russian side using the procedures envisaged by the OPCW for such situations," Kozhin said at a briefing on Friday.
"All the more, support of dialogue and cooperation in the interests of strengthening international instruments in the sphere of non-proliferation, particularly the Chemical Weapons Convention," he said.
