Hundreds pay tribute to Kemerovo fire victims in central Moscow
MOSCOW. March 27 (Interfax) - Hundreds of people have visited a makeshift memorial at Manezh Square in central Moscow to commemorate the victims of the fire in Kemerovo.
A banner reading "Kemerovo. March 25, 2018. We are with you," has been put up near the entrance to the Alexander Garden, and victims' photos and vigil candles have been placed nearby, an Interfax correspondent reported.
There is an increased police and National Guard presence at Manezh Square, access to which is currently only possible through metal detectors.
Access to the grieving site at Manezh Square opened at around 4:30 p.m., and within minutes, the place had been visited by several hundred people bringing flowers and toys.
