National Media Group removed from list of Surgutneftegas affiliates
MOSCOW. April 3 (Interfax) - CJSC National Media Group (NMG) has been removed from the list of Surgutneftegas affiliates, the oil company said in materials.
The changes took effect on February 28. The materials say that prior to that, Surgutneftegas had more than 20% of NMG's shares at its direct disposal.
According to SPARK-Interfax, with reference to the Russian State Statistics Service (Rosstat), as of January 25, 2018, Surgutneftegas directly owned 12.33% of NMG, and owned 8.71% via LLC Media-Invest, which the oil company controls.
NMG was established in 2008 through a merger of the media assets of Yury Kovalchuk's Rossiya Bank, steel magnate Alexei Mordashov, Surgutneftegas and insurance group SOGAZ .
NMG owns REN TV and Channel Five, a blocking stake in Channel One, the Izvestia newspaper, the radio station Russian News Service and Art Pictures Vision.
