Rosbank head Olyunin returning to VTB as first deputy CEO; will be responsible for finances and risks

MOSCOW. April 4 (Interfax) - Rosbank CEO Dmitry Olyunin has decided to return to the VTB Group, Rosbank said in a statement.

Ilya Polyakov, who is currently first deputy chairman of the Rosbank Management Board and has been responsible for the bank's corporate and investment businesses in Russia, will be appointed to head Rosbank. He will begin serving in this capacity on April 14, with subsequent transfer of his current responsibilities to a successor.

"We can confirm that Dmitry Olyunin's candidacy will shortly be submitted for consideration to the VTB supervisory board. If it is approved, Dmitry Olyunin will assume the position of first deputy chairman of the bank. It is planned that he will oversee finances, accounting, risks, operating activities and optimization of business processes," the VTB press service told Interfax.

Herbert Moos, who supervises VTB's financial cluster, will as a deputy chairman focus on the segment of the lender's prospective development. "This work is at the junction of different businesses, in the sphere of new opportunities and projects for the group. A relevant team will be assembled to resolve these," the VTB press service said.
