Shoigu to visit Mongolia in Sept 2018
MOSCOW. April 4 (Interfax) - Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu will visit Mongolia in September 2018, Mongolian Defense Minister Nyamaagiin Enkhbold said after he had met with Shoigu in Moscow on Wednesday.
"We have agreed that the Russian defense minister will visit us in September 2018," Enkhbold said.
He said they had discussed bilateral military-technical cooperation at the meeting and "decided to resume and extend the treaty, which expired last year."
The ministers also agreed to increase the number of Mongolian students in Russian military schools and the Presidential Cadet School in Kyzyl.
The Mongolian Armed Forces will strengthen relations with Russia's Central Military District, Enkhbold said. "I am very pleased with the results of my meeting with Mr. Minister. We will be strengthening relations between our Armed Forces and the Central Military District," he said.
