Pyongyang wants to study Baku's oil industry practices - FM

BAKU. April 6 (Interfax) - An exchange of visits could help develop bilateral relations between North Korea and Azerbaijan, North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho told his Azerbaijani counterpart, Elmar Mammadyarov, at a meeting.

Mammadyarov and Ri met in Baku on Friday on the sidelines of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM)'s Mid-Term Ministerial Conference, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

"The North Korean foreign minister stressed that mutual visits are necessary for broadening bilateral cooperation. He also expressed an interest in studying Azerbaijan's oil production practices," the ministry said.

Ri said Pyongyang would like to send architects to Azerbaijan to study Baku's architecture.
