Fairer tax distribution to provide 1% of GDP in additional budget revenue - Siluanov

MOSCOW. April 10 (Interfax) - The Russian Finance Ministry expects to raise about 1% of GDP in additional revenue for the budget system by simplifying tax administration and more fairly distributing the tax burden, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said at a Higher School of Economics Conference.

"We expect to receive an extra 1% of GDP or so for the budget system from fairer distribution of the tax burden and simplified tax administration," Siluanov said.

In the 2013-2017 period, an additional 1.5% of GDP in tax revenue was generated simply by improving tax administration measures and without increasing the tax burden, he said.
