Berdimuhamedow's upcoming Uzbekistan visit discussed in Ashgabat
TASHKENT. April 10 (Interfax) - Officials of the Uzbek and Turkmen Foreign Ministries have held consultations in Ashgabat to discuss preparations for Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow's upcoming state visit to Uzbekistan, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry's press service said on Tuesday.
"The sides focused on discussing a draft program and a draft agenda for the upcoming state visit to Uzbekistan of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow," the press service said.
At the meeting, the sides reaffirmed that "both countries are thoroughly preparing for the upcoming Uzbek-Turkmen meeting at the highest level, which should be a milestone event in bilateral relations and help raise ties between our countries and peoples to a qualitatively new level," the press service said.
The sides also discussed interaction within multilateral organizations and exchanged opinions about international and regional problems.
