OPCW expert team preparing for mission to Syria's Douma

MOSCOW. April 10 (Interfax) - Experts from the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) will soon leave for the Syrian town of Douma to collect information about the suspected chemical incident, the Organization's press service said.

"The Fact-Finding Mission team is getting ready to leave for Syria soon," the OPCW press service told Interfax.

"Today, the OPCW Technical Secretariat has requested the Syrian Arab Republic to make the necessary arrangements to prepare for the arrival of experts," the organization said.

The OPCW noted that its request coincided in time with the requests of Syria and Russia to hold an investigation into the suspected case of chemical weapons use in Douma.
