Georgian leader hopes for further development of relations with Azerbaijan after Aliyev's reelection
TBILISI. April 12 (Interfax) - Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili on Thursday greeted Ilham Aliyev after winning the presidential election in Azerbaijan.
"I congratulate my friend, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, on being reelected the president of Azerbaijan. I firmly believe that the friendly relations that evolved between Georgia and Azerbaijan over many centuries will continue developing for the wellbeing of our nations," the greeting message says.
The Georgian president also wished Aliyev success in statesmanship.
