Russian banks post profit of 352 bln rubles in Q1

MOSCOW. April 12 (Interfax) - Russian banks posted aggregate profits of 352 billion rubles in January-March 2018, Central Bank Deputy Governor Vasily Pozdyshev said at an extended presidium of the Rossiya banking association.

"We think that these profit growth rates will be maintained," he said.

Banks had profits of 339 billion rubles in Q1 2017.

The Central Bank is preliminarily estimating that bank will make a profit of 1.5 trillion rubles in 2015 if not impeded by the creation of additional reserves by banks being bailed-out, Central Bank Chief Elvira Nabiullina said in February.
