Unfounded claims of Russian involvement in Skripal case unacceptable - Serbian president

MOSCOW. April 13 (Interfax) - Russia cannot be accused of involvement in the Skripal case without evidence, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said.

"We do condemn chemical attacks and attacks worldwide. However, it is impossible to accuse Russia of this in the Skripals' situation without evidence. Even the EU has decided to condemn Russia based on the English words 'highly likely.' How can that be accepted?" Vucic said on the television channel Rossiya 24 (VGTRK).

"The Britons only say 'highly likely' in response to all questions [...] We can't do that to our friends," Vucic said.

Vucic also said he hopes that "a relevant investigation will be conducted, and evidence will be found that will help determine what really happened."
