Russian ambassador to Japan perplexed by reports that Tokyo 'understands' strike of U.S., its allies on Syria
MOSCOW. April 14 (Interfax) - The Russian side is perplexed over reports that Japan 'understands' the military action of the United States and its allies against Syria.
"According to media reports, the Japanese side said it 'understands' the military action undertaken by the U.S. and its allies against sovereign Syria. If these reports are accurate, such a position arouses profound perplexity, as the issue is about an aggressive action that breaches international law and neglects the UN Security Council," Russian Ambassador to Japan Mikhail Galuzin said on Saturday.
"Such a development of the situation arouses deep regrets," Galuzin said, as qyoted by the Russian embassy to Japan.
