Issue of statement in wake of inter-Korean summit may be discussed - S. Korean ambassador to Russia
MOSCOW. April 16 (Interfax) - Seoul so far does not know whether any statement will be issued following the inter-Korean summit, South Korean Ambassador to Russia Woo Yoon-keun said.
"It is still unclear whether any statement will be issued following the summit. This issue may be discussed at consultations in the working order, which will be held this week," he told reporters in Moscow.
About 2,000 journalists have already been accredited to cover the upcoming summit, the diplomat said.
No difficulties are seen in the run-up to the inter-Korean summit, the South Korean ambassador said.
"We so far see no differences, see no difficulties," he said.
The inter-Korean summit is scheduled for April 27. The summit between South Korean President Moon Jae-in and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un will become the third event of this kind in the history of South Korea and North Korea since the times of the end of the Korean War in 1953.
