Aibek Aidarbekov named new Kyrgyz envoy to EAEU

BISHKEK. April 17 (Interfax) - Kyrgyz Prime Minister Sapar Isakov has appointed Aibek Aidarbekov as the new Kyrgyz envoy to the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), the Kyrgyz government's press service reported.

"Isakov signed a decree appointing Aidarbekov as the deputy head of the Kyrgyz government administration, the republic's envoy to the EAEU, and the head of the government administration's department for international cooperation and integration," a government official told Interfax.

In early January, due to an error related to the timeframe of the EAEU Customs Code's entry into force, the previous Kyrgyz envoy to the integration union, Sanzhar Umetaliyev, was dismissed.
