Russia should not wait too long to invest in Syria rebuilding - Turchak
MOSCOW. April 18 (Interfax) - Russia should become the first country to begin investing in the Syria economy to rebuild the country, otherwise Iran and China will do so before, Russian Federation Council deputy speaker Andrei Turchak said following a visit to Syria.
"I can say after meetings and negotiations that we had that everything is clear here in terms of economics and investment. If we don't come to Syria first, Iran and China will quickly take our place, they are ready for it," Turchak said at a session in the Federation Council on Wednesday following a visit to Syria as a member of the Russian delegation.
