Kyiv, Luhansk report ceasefire breaches

KYIV/LUHANSK. April 23 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian army has breached the Donbas truce six times in the past 24 hours, the militia of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) said in a statement.

"The Ukrainian army breached the truce six times over the day using 120mm and 82mm mortars, infantry combat vehicles, SPG grenade launchers, heavy weapons, and small arms," the militia said.

Ukrainian servicemen shelled the vicinity of Pryshyb, Kalynove, Lohvynove, Slovianoserbsk, and Stepove, the militia said.

For its part, the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) reported 32 ceasefire breaches by the Ukrainian army.

"The Ukrainian army breached the truce 32 times over the over day. The army shelled the vicinity of the following populated localities: Horlivka (Shyroka Balka, Ozeryanivka, Mykhailivka, and Dolomitne), Zaitseve, Nizhne Verkhnotoretske, Kruta Balka, Vasylivka, Yasynuvata, Yakovlivka, Mineralne, Spartak, Donetsk (Trudovske and Lozove), Dokuchayevsk, Kominternove, and Dzerzhinske," the DPR representative to the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) told reporters on Monday.

One civilian was killed and another suffered injuries in a Ukrainian army attack on Sunday, he said.

"The Ukrainian army fired a total of 956 shells," the representative said.

In turn, the staff of the Ukrainian army operation in Donbas reported 30 militia attacks on Ukrainian positions over the day.

There were no casualties, the staff said on Facebook.
