MOSCOW. April 25 (Interfax-AVN) - Air defense systems and planes tested in combat have evoked a profound interest of Middle East countries and Turkey, Rosoboronexport said in a statement seen by Interfax-AVN on Wednesday.

"The combat use of Russian aircraft and air defense systems during anti-terrorism operations in the Middle East has demonstrated their high efficiency," Rosoboronexport said.

"Turkey and Middle East countries are quite interested in the Sukhoi Su-35 multirole super-maneuverable fighter jet, the Sukhoi Su-30SME super-maneuverable multirole fighter, the Ilyushin Il-76MD-90A (E) military transport plane, the Mil Mi-28NE combat helicopter, the Kamov Ka-52 combat reconnaissance-and-attack helicopter, the Mil Mi-35M transport-and-combat helicopters, the Mil Mi-26T2 heavy transport helicopters, and Mil Mi-171Sh and Mi-17V-5 military transport helicopters," Rosoboronexport said.

"Russia's light helicopters, Ansar and Kamov Ka-226T also have a good export potential in the region because of multiple functions they can perform in the interests of various law enforcement agencies, high safety levels, unique technical characteristics, and simplicity of maintenance and use," it said.
