Lukashenko, Sarkissian discuss situation in Armenia by phone

MINSK. April 25 (Interfax) - Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko and Armenian President Armen Sarkissian held a telephone conversation at the initiative of the Armenian side on Wednesday evening.

"The Armenian president informed the head of the Belarusian state about the current situation in the country in detail and confirmed that it remains difficult. The issue of Armenia's future is crucial today. The Armenian president also explained in detail the history of the conflict, mistakes and deficiencies, the situation in the parliament, and the consultations which he is now holding with the parliamentary coalitions," Belarusian state media reported, citing the presidential press service.

The presidents expressed absolute unanimity with regard to the inadmissibility of any citizen's violation of the Constitution, especially while setting up a new government.

The heads of state also discussed a schedule of further actions and agreed to stay in contact.
