Ten flights performed over week to intercept foreign aircraft near Russian border

MOSCOW. April 27 (Interfax) - Seventeen reconnaissance planes were seen flying along Russia's border over the past week, the Defense Ministry said in an infographic report published by the newspaper Krasnaya Zvezda.

Pilots of the standby air defense forces performed ten flights to intercept and escort foreign reconnaissance planes flying along the Russian border, according to the report.

"No violations of Russian airspace were allowed," it said.
