Mosenergo boosts electricity generation 3.9% in Q1, heat energy up 12.5%
MOSCOW. April 27 (Interfax) - Mosenergo boosted electricity generation 3.9% to 19.11 billion kWh in Q1 2018, up from 18.39 billion kWh in the same period last year, the company said.
The increase was due to lower air temperatures in the reporting period and the efficient utilization of the company's generating capacity.
Heat energy output rose 12.5% year-on-year to 37.5 million Gcal, up from 33.34 million Gcal in Q1 2017. Growth was also mainly driven by temperature conditions.
Mosenergo has installed electrical generating capacity of 12,800 MW at 15 power stations all located in Moscow Region. The company is controlled by Gazprom Energoholding LLC.
