Dashnaktsutyun says faction to vote for Pashinyan in Armenian PM's election
YEREVAN. May 1 (Interfax) - The Dashnaktsutyun parliamentary faction will vote for Nikol Pashinyan in the election of the Armenian prime minister, the faction's head Armen Rustamyan said.
"I would like to point out that we respect the right of deputy Agvan Vardanyan [who said he would vote against Pashinyan], but this is party and our party has traditions. His step was made against the party's tradition and received a relevant response," he said.
Earlier on Tuesday, Vardanyan said he would vote against Pashinyan and called for holding a snap parliamentary election.
"If my party demands that I vote for [Pashinyan], I will give up my seat in the parliament," he said at a parliamentary session.
