Navalny's Saratov HQ head detained during local Internet media's live broadcast

SARATOV. May 7 (Interfax) - The police have detained Mikhail Murygin, the coordinator of Alexei Navalny's headquarters in Saratov, on Monday evening, the headquarters said on its account on social networks.

"Murygin was detained right during a live broadcast of Oktryty Kanal [Open Channel, a local online media]," it said.

A representative of Navalny's Saratov HQ, in turn, told Interfax that a protocol on violations of the established procedure of organizing or holding a rally was filed against the detained man. He was taken to the Volzhsky police department.

The Interior Ministry's regional branch is yet to comment on the situation.

As reported, on May 5, an unauthorized rally of the opposition took place in Saratov; Murygin was one of its organizers.
