Involving minors in unauthorized rallies to be punishable by up to 15 days of arrest, fine of up to 500,000 rubles - bill
MOSCOW. May 10 (Interfax) - A bill submitted by members of the United Russia faction to the State Duma on Thursday would make involving minors in unauthorized rallies punishable by up to 15 days of administrative arrest or a fine of up to 500,000 rubles.
The bill would add a new clause to the Russian Code of Administrative Offensive saying that "the involvement of minors in unpermitted assemblies, rallies, demonstrations, marches, or pickets, if such actions do not contain elements of a criminal offense, will be punishable by an administrative fine ranging from 30,000 to 50,000 rubles, or up to 100 hours of community service, or administrative arrest of up to 15 days if the offense is perpetrated by individuals, a fine ranging from 50,000 to 100,000 rubles if the offense is perpetrated by persons in authority, and a fine of 225,000 to 500,000 rubles if the law is breached by a legal entity."
