Armenian minister of diaspora won't join new govt

YEREVAN. May 11 (Interfax) - Armenian Minister of Diaspora Granush Akopyan will not join the country's new government.

"I wish the new government good luck and stronger ties with the [Armenian] community. A new team will be working from now on," Akopyan told reporters following the government's first meeting since Nikol Pashinyan became prime minister.

Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan told reporters that the possibility of his resignation is not being discussed.

"There is no such issue on the agenda," Margaryan said.
