TransContainer to pay 293.04 rubles per share as dividends for 2017

MOSCOW. May 15 (Interfax) - TransContainer will pay 293.04 rubles per share as dividends for 2017.

Dividends will total 4.072 billion rubles or 75% of net profit to Russian Accounting Standards (RAS) which doubled to 5.429 billion rubles last year, an Interfax correspondent reported from the meeting.

The dividend record date is May 28.

The company paid out 46.81 rubles per share for 2016 or a total of 650.415 million rubles. The railway operator paid interim dividends of 95.76 rubles per share for H1 2016 or a total of around 1.331 billion rubles meaning dividends were also 75% of RAS net profit in 2016 of 2.631 billion rubles.

This amount does not include the second part of interim dividends, paid out in mid-2016 of around 3.5 billion rubles or 251.84 rubles per share from undistributed profits from 2010 and 2014-2015. TransContainer did not issue dividends for 2015 when net profit was 1.85 billion rubles.

Another 5% of net profit for 2017 (271.45 million rubles) will be allocated for sponsorship and charitable contributions and 20% (1.086 billion rubles) for investment. Capex in 2018 is expected to be 12.3 billion rubles or which 7.9 billion rubles on acquiring new wagons; 1.9 billion rubles - buying new containers; 1.5 billion rubles - developing terminal infrastructure and 1 billion rubles - other goals. A company spokesperson later told Interfax that capex had been adjusted slightly but did not give specific figures.
