Russia wants dialogue with U.S. at all levels, including top - Ryabkov
MOSCOW. May 15 (Interfax) - Russia stands ready for a dialogue with the United States at all levels and expects that, sooner or later, there will be light at the end of the tunnel, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said.
"I hope that, despite all negative efforts [made by the U.S.] and their negative decisions, light will appear at the end of the tunnel," Ryabkov told journalists during the Valdai Discussion Club meetings on Tuesday.
Russia wants dialogue with the U.S. at all levels, including the top one, "and we are prepared for that," he said.
Moscow is disappointed by the sanctions Washington imposed on it in April, he said.
It is inappropriate to talk about Russia's interference in the U.S. elections, Ryabkov said. "It is wrong to talk about any collusion, it could not have existed, it is something that has never existed in nature," Ryabkov said.
"There has never been such a thing as Russia's meddling, it's just unimaginable," Ryabkov said, adding that this would run counter the Russian political culture.
