Golikova's successor to be named as soon as decided by president - Peskov
MOSCOW. May 17 (Interfax) - The Kremlin has received State Duma's proposals of candidates for the head of the Audit Chamber, the president's press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
"We have received the proposals," Peskov told reporters on Thursday.
Asked when the head can be expected to be announced, he said: "As soon as the relevant decision is made, we will unveil it."
Asked whether this meant that it was premature to talk which of the candidates was the likeliest to get the job, Peskov reminded that the Kremlin never preannounces appointment decisions.
The candidacies of Alexei Kudrin, Maxim Rokhmistrov, Yury Sinelshchikov and Anatoly Aksakov had been sent to the president for consideration for appointment as new chair of the Audit Chamber, State Duma speaker Vyacheslav Volodin said earlier.
