New Armenian authorities plan to set up independent anti-corruption agency

YEREVAN. May 18 (Interfax) - The Armenian government intends to establish an anti-corruption agency that will have all the necessary powers to fulfill its functions, Justice Minister Artak Zeinalyan said.

"In the near future, the government intends to create an anti-corruption agency that will have the necessary tool kit and guarantees. The new body will be authorized to take measures to prevent corruption and will also have intelligence and investigative functions," he said at an anti-corruption forum in Yerevan.
