DPR reports 8 people killed in shelling in past week

DONETSK. May 18 (Interfax) - A total of eight people were killed and 20 more wounded in shelling conducted by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the past week, a representative of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic's (DPR) ombudsman's office told reporters.

"Eight people were killed in the Donetsk People's Republic on May 4-17, 2018, including seven servicemen of the republic and one civilian woman, who died in Ukrainian troops' shelling of the city of Horlivka on May 16," the representative said.

A total of 20 people, including 11 servicemen, two women, six men and one teenager, born in 2002, among civilians, were wounded in the same period, the representative said.
